Forge

Terms of Service

Effective 5 September 2026 · Last updated 5 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Judy Leach (“we,” “us”) for your use of the Forge app and its backend service (“Forge”). By creating an account or using Forge, you agree to them. If you do not agree, don’t use Forge.

1. The service

Forge is a strength-training app: you log workouts and a companion creature grows as you train. We provide Forge on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may limit or suspend the service for maintenance, security, or legal reasons.

2. Your account

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

4. Subscriptions and payments

Forge has a free tier with a monthly limit on logged workouts, and a paid “Pro” tier that removes the limit. Pro is not yet available for purchase. When it launches, it will be sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the Apple App Store, and Apple’s terms and refund policies will govern the purchase. We’ll show the price and renewal terms before you buy.

5. Your content and our content

6. Not medical or fitness advice

Forge is a logging and motivation tool, not a source of medical, health, or professional fitness advice. Strength training carries risk of injury. Consult a qualified professional before starting or changing an exercise program, and stop and seek help if you feel unwell. You are responsible for training safely and within your ability.

7. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Forge is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of Forge. Our total liability for any claim relating to Forge will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or CAD $50.

9. Termination

You may stop using Forge and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (for example sections 5–8 and 11) will survive.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Forge evolves. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we’ll give notice in the app or on the App Store listing before they take effect. Continuing to use Forge after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in Ontario will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
